For nearly four decades, Tommy Morrow has dedicated his life to elevating people, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities across education, ministry, business, journalism, and philanthropy. Called by many a true renaissance man, his work spans sectors and generations—but his mission has always been the same: to help people live their highest potential, every day.
Tommy’s influence has touched thousands across the Inland Valley and beyond. Through every initiative—whether founded in a classroom, a newsroom, a church, or a nonprofit—his impact has been guided by a deep conviction that excellence, empowerment, and faith are powerful tools for transformation.
Business, Publishing & Media Pioneer
Tommy is the Founder and Publisher Emeritus of the Inland Valley Newspaper Group, established in 1991—the only African-American-owned, legally adjudicated community newspaper serving thirteen cities between Los Angeles and San Bernardino. His vision created not only an essential voice for African American communities in Southern California, but also meaningful employment and economic growth for families across the region.

- Celebration of Excellence Awards
Now in its 23rd year, it is the largest African American-led annual business gathering in the Inland Valley—drawing nearly 500 attendees and more than 35 major sponsors. - Boys to Businessmen
A 501(c)(3) empowering young men through entrepreneurship training, business principles, and real-world opportunities to launch their own ventures. - Shining Glory Publications
A publishing company producing books, magazines, and specialty projects for academics, pastors, children’s authors, and memoirists. - Morrow Pancreatic Health Foundation
Providing awareness, education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families navigating pancreas-related illness. - African Village Weekend Cultural & Performing Arts
A year-round music and arts program culminating in a three-day festival, giving youth the opportunity to perform on stage with professional artists. - Sheppard’s Nest Independent Living Home
Co-founded with his wife, Kimberly, this 501(c)(3) provides housing and quality of life support for senior women with limited resources.
Education, Leadership & Ministry
A lifelong educator and administrator, Tommy holds degrees from Miles College and California Lutheran University, along with multiple teaching and administrative credentials. As an aviation enthusiast, he co-founded the first aviation-focused charter high school in San Bernardino.
His achievements include the Johns Hopkins University Outstanding Educator Award, and the creation of the Palomares Middle School Writers & Artists Club in Pomona.
He has served on numerous boards including:

For 35 years, Pastor Morrow has served as Founder and Senior Pastor of Victory Community Church in Upland, California, ministering across the United States and internationally—from Cape Town to Paris, from the Caribbean to Korea.
His ministry reflects his belief in excellence, service, and the transformative power of the Gospel.
Global Traveler, Lifelong Learner
Tommy is an enthusiastic world traveler, inspired by the cultures, history, and beauty of the nations he’s explored. Among his favorite destinations are South Africa, South Korea, Canada, and the West Indies.

He is married to the love of his life, Kimberly Anthony-Morrow, and together they share a blended family of three adult daughters and two cherished grandchildren.
